In 2000, people in Illinois used 15,792 million gallons of water a day. By 2025 officials expect that number to increase to 20,198 million gallons a day- a 28 percent increase!
What will happen to our lakes, rivers, auqifers? Are we willing to use less water, or will we increase our demand on our natural resources?
This summer's drought should have us asking questions, and looking toward the future with solutions.
