Thin Ice

Many Sheriff's Departments around the Midwest are warning drivers: don't drive on lakes. You might end up driving into them. Deputies responded to ten separate accidents Monday where cars fell through the ice. One on Lake Eau Claire, another on Lake Altoona in Wisconsin. The car on Lake Eau Claire is still stuck in the ice. No one has been hurt in any of the incidents. The different departments have agreed that warm weather is the problem, so it is restricting all cars from most lakes. Check your county website for further details and restrictions.
