Lake Levels

Lake levels in central Minnesota's lakes region are 6 to 12 inches below normal August levels, according to lakeshore property owners. On Pelican Lake, sandbars that are normally under two feet of water are exposed up to 300 feet from shore.

Bishop Creek, which connects Gull and Round lakes, is unnavigable. The Mississippi River through Brainerd has wide sand beaches on both shores.
