Sea Lamprey

sea lamprey.jpg

The Sea Lamprey grows up to 34 in and has a circular, sucking mouth with rasping teeth. It feeds on the fluids and tissues of large fish, such as trout and salmon. Lamprey spawn in rivers and streams before migrating to the Great Lakes, and can spend 3-6 years buried in sediments feeding in their larval stage.
