Siemens Water Technologies

Siemens Water Technologies has acquired four US companies in a move to strengthen its disinfection and ultra-pure water solutions product portfolio. The companies include Envirotrol Inc. of Darlington, PA; Clean Environmental Concepts of Vancouver, WA; Pure Water Solutions of Hubbard, OR; and Sunlight Systems of Allendale, NJ.

A main reason for the acquisitions is to improve the company's role in the activated carbon water treatment industry. Envirotrol and Clean Environmental Concepts will double Siemens' carbon reactivation capability. Pure Water Solutions will expand Siemens' line of deionization products and services, and Sunlight Systems will expand its line of disinfection products and solutions. The combined net worth of all four companies is $25 million.
