Lake Kegonsa

Lake Kegonsa, south of Wisconsin's state capital, Madison, is a glacier lake that covers 3,209 acres and is more than 30 feet deep. On .75 miles of shoreline is 342-acre Lake Kegonsa State Park full of oak woods, prairie and wetland marsh. It was established in 1962 and officially opened on August 12, 1966.
