Eurasian Watermilfoil Keeps Moving

Eurasian watermilfoil has been found in six more lakes in Minnesota according to the DNR. The invasive plant was found in Kimball Lake in Crow Wing County, Maple Lake in Wright County, Spectacle Lake in Isanti County, McMahon Lake in Scott County and Big Lake in Sherburne County. It also was found in Washington County's Wilmes Lake.

Milfoil competes with native populations, chokes lakes and rivers, and interferes with recreational activities such as boating and fishing. It reached Minnesota in the 1980s and has now been found in nearly 200 lakes.
