Black Lake
The Little Traverse Conservancy recently purchased a 25-acre property on Black Lake. The 25-acre parcel includes 2,300 feet of shoreline and consists of forested wetlands, made up of a blend of hardwoods and conifers.
Black Lake is located in both Cheboygan and Presque Isle counties. With a surface area of 10,130 acres, it is the seventh largest inland lake in Michigan. Black Lake is a summer destination for many families from the suburban Detroit area and from other nearby states as well as residents of the neighboring town of Onaway. It drains through the Lower Black and Cheboygan Rivers into Lake Huron.
