Lake Lanier

It looks like Lake Lanier in Georgia will set a record low this year, due to the Southeast’s extreme drought. Lake Lanier is close to passing the record low set more than 25 years ago. The lake level at last check was at 1,052.74 feet above sea level, just short of the 1,052.66-foot record. Lakes Lanier and Allatoona are the main sources of drinking water for Atlanta.
