Ten Worst Lakes

With lakes collecting runoff in Minneapolis/St. Paul’s suburbs with little to no management in place, water quality seems to suffer. The Metropolitan Council has a list of the ten best and worst lakes for water quality in the metro area.

Lakes that were on the Metropolitan Council's "Worst-Ten List" for water quality include Lake Cornelia, Swede Lake, George Watch in Lino Lakes, Colby in Woodbury, Loon in Stillwater Township, Cedar Island in Maple Grove, Hazeltine in Chaska, Upper Twin in Crystal and Eagle Point in Lake Elmo.
