Water From Lake Michigan

More communities in the Great Lakes Basin are trying to get their hands on water from Lake Michigan. Brookfield, Wisconsin is the latest suburb to seek access to water from the lake as it joins Elm Grove in talks about possible connections to Milwaukee's water system.

New Berlin officials are considering purchasing lake water from the Racine or Oak Creek water utilities or expanded water service from Milwaukee. Elm Grove officials forwarded a letter to Milwaukee Water Works seeking the price to purchase Lake Michigan water and the details of system connections.
