Aquaculture and Commodities

The price of farmed fish is set to increase as the aquaculture industry deals with rising commodity prices, including grain and oil.

Fishmeal is a mix of grains and is vulnerable to world price fluctuations, as well as the increasingly expensive oil used to transport the meal and fish worldwide. Price for some feed has gone up about 10 to 15 percent since last year.
