Great Lakes Water Links

Here are a few links to what people are saying about the water here in the Midwest, and Great Lakes Basin.

Is the water compact a good idea?

Bills seeking to restrict the diversion of Great Lakes water to other regions are moving forward quickly with bi-partisan support in the Indiana Legislature. Last week, the Senate Committee on Energy and Environmental Affairs passed S.B. 45 on a 10-0 vote. The bill now awaits passage by the full Indiana Senate.

As various presidential candidates shuttle around "the Great Lakes State," scant attention has been paid to clean water issues. Michigan's asterisk-laden Democratic primary and diminished candidate pool has left Republicans to address traditionally Democratic issues like the environment and Great Lakes restoration.
