Research of Invasive Species

Close to $2 million dollars is set to help with the research of invasive species and in creating a more environmentally friendly shipping industry in the coming year. Lake Superior Research Institute is set to recieve $980,000 which will help them continue their ballast water research. $980,000 will also go toward the Great Lakes Maritime Research Institute. That money will be used to coordinate and conduct research for the shipping industry.
