Wisconsin Ice Shanties
The DNR in Wisconsin wants to remind people that regulations for removing ice shanties were changed for 2008. The previous dates to remove ice shelters from inland waters were March 5 for waters south of Hwy. 64 and March 15 for waters north of Hwy. 64.
Under the new regulations, shelters must be removed by the end of the first Sunday following March 1 south of Hwy. 64; and by the end of the first Sunday following March 12 north of Hwy. 64.
