The Wisconsin Senate finally passed the Great Lakes Compact designed to protect the watershed of the Great Lakes. The 26-6 vote in the Democratic-controlled chamber sent the Compact to the state Assembly, where Republican leaders have already raised objections to certain aspects of the agreement.
