Lake Ontario Water Levels

Did you know that Lake Ontario is the only one of the Great Lakes where water levels can be controlled to some degree? All of Lake Ontario's waters move eastward into the St. Lawrence River, where three dams regulate the flow. Now the International Joint Commission will release a new plan to help regulate the water levels March 28th of this year.
