Lake Sakakawea and Oil

Oil companies are trying to tap millions of gallons of oil beneath North Dakota’s Lake Sakakawea. There have been three permits granted by the Army Corps of Engineers under protests by residents of the area. The protesters feel the drilling techniques used could have grave effects on the surrounding ecosystem.
