Lakes monitored by volunteers in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin have shown an improvement in water quality in the last few years. The lakes monitored were Bullhead, Cedar, Horseshoe, Kasbaum, Pigeon, Little Pigeon, Long, Hartlaub and Silver lakes.
