Mille Lacs Walleye Regulation

New regulations are set for Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota this summer. People fishing for walleye may keep four fish up to 18 inches long. One walleye longer than 28 inches will also be allowed in the four-fish limit.

The regulation was set up to keep the weight of walleyes caught in the lake within the 2008-angling quota of 307,500 pounds. Another 122,500 pounds of walleyes may be taken from the lake by eight Ojibwe bands.
