Surface Water Protection Act- Iowa

Iowa's lakes are about to be protected further under the Surface Water Protection Act, which just cleared the Iowa House. A council would be charged with preserving and coordinating the state's water resources under the act. Plans are also underway at the local level to improve and monitor watersheds.
