Crystal Lake, Michigan

Crystal Lake is located in Benzie County, Michigan. The lake is 9,854 acres in size and up to 165 feet deep. It is the ninth largest lake in the state.

Beaches are plentiful around the lake, due to an attempt to connect nearby Lake Michigan in the 1800’s. The attempted channel actually lowered the water level in the lake, forming the present day beaches.
