Northwoods Drought

Will above average snowfall help bring the lake levels in Northern Wisconsin back to normal? Sorry, but no. One year of heavy snow pack in the Northwoods, won’t be able to reverse three years of drought conditions in the region. Many lakes are still 10 feet below normal levels. Heavy rains this spring or summer may help reverse the short term trend.
