Deadly Weekend In Missouri

The MLPC reminds people to follow basic safety while enjoying local waterways, after a deadly start to the boating season. Please try to never swim alone, and wear a life jacket at all times while boating or fishing. Three people died this weekend while trying to enjoy time on Missouri’s lakes. Charles Cribb had been visiting Table Rock Lake with his family when he went for a swim. His body was found in about 18 feet of water.

Gregory Tucker, 49 died when he jumped off a boat into the Lake of the Ozarks to rescue his grandchild, who had fallen overboard. Jerry Ray, 69, of Sheldon, drowned while trout fishing at the Schell-Osage Wildlife Area in St. Clair County.
