Tim Grendell and the Great Lakes

It looks like Tim Grendell will help stall the ratifying of the Great Lakes Compact until the end of this year. The Senator is proposing a new resolution for the Great Lakes Compact. He wants private property rights in Ohio strengthened. Ohio's refusal to join the agreement could derail or hamper the deal.

A Senate resolution authorizing changes that strengthen property rights would go before Ohio voters on Nov. 4, after the Senate and the House approve it. Grendell will drop his opposition to a House-passed bill authorizing the state to join the other Great Lakes if the Senate and House pass his resolution.
