Ohio to Pass Great Lakes Compact
Ohio lawmakers have moved to make it the sixth state to approve the Great Lakes Compact, and Pennsylvania and Michigan will be the only states left to ratify the agreement.
The major obstacle to some lawmakers was the disagreement over whether the plan would violate property rights for groundwater on privately owned land. But, legislative leaders reached a deal, and sent it through to the Governor with a 33-0 vote.
