Waters Rising on Chain O' Lakes

Flooding in Lake County, Illinois is as high as it was during last summer's flood, but water may still be rising

Water levels on the Chain O' Lakes are as high as the flood of August 2007. Water levels are not expected to crest until Tuesday or Wednesday as the lakes could rise another two inches. The Chain is currently at 2 feet over flood stage, and 18 inches over the level where most property along the lakes can be damaged.
