Muskegon Lake Cleanup

Muskegon Lake in Michigan has long been eyed for an extensive cleanup plan. Now it looks like the plan is coming into focus. The lake is being targeted for a three-year, $3.4 million dollar restoration project. Areas being targeted were used by foundries and sawmills years ago along the shoreline of the lake and river. The lake is connected by a channel into Lake Michigan. Funding for the project is still in the process of being secured.
