Great Lakes Water Compact Stalled
As the MLPC first reported, it looks like there is a good chance that the complete vote for the Great Lakes Water Resources Compact will get pushed back into next year. After the U.S. House went into recess without voting on the measure. The House will have three weeks left to vote the rest of this year, and with the economy taking center stage those issues may trump the Compact. Politicians have been working on some form of the Compact since 1998.
