Flooding in the Midwest

Flooding across the Midwest from Ike has been linked to 13 deaths across the region. Thousands have been forced to evacuate after eight to ten inches of rain hit states such as Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Missouri. Lakes, streams and rivers quickly reached flood stage, and rushed over their banks. Total damage to the area will not be known until later this week.
