Bottled Water From the Great Lakes

The issue of bottling water from the Great Lakes and shipping it out of the watershed has had many environmentalists concerned over the years. Many hoped the Great Lakes Compact would close the issue, but a loophole in the compact lets Nestle and other companies use Great Lakes water and ship it out of the basin. Another lengthy legal battle remains between large corporations and environmental groups.
