Ice Safety

Here are some ice safety tips from the DNR in Minnesota. Ice should be at least 4 inches thick for people to walk on it, 5 inches thick for snowmobiles and 4-wheelers and 8 to 12 inches thick for cars and trucks depending on their weight. On average six people a year die in the state due to thin ice accidents.
