Spread of Invasive Species in Wisconsin

Zebra mussels did not spread throughout any new lakes in Northern Wisconsin this year, and only five new cases of Eurasian water milfoil were found out of over 10,000 lakes in the region. A new initiative called the DNR Water Guard helped check over 27,000 boats for the effort.
