Energy Issues in the Midwest

Energy issues in the Great Lakes basin are in the news this week. An energy lawyer in Michigan is pushing the state to move towards wind power with blades placed in Lake Michigan.

Also, shipments of coal on the Great Lakes are at the lowest point in decades. Just over 778,000 net tons were shipped in January, half the total of last year.
