Soo Locks Open

The shipping season is off to a very slow start this year on the Great Lakes. The first day the Soo Locks opened only one ship passed through. In prior years ships have lined up to pass through the locks that connect Lake Superior to the other Great Lakes. Just one of many signs the recession is hitting the Great Lakes region.
