The Great Lakes and Climate Change
Lingering ice on the Great Lakes, cold winter temperatures, and massive amounts of snow across much of the Midwest are stirring the climate change debate. Ice still has a strangle hold on Lake Superior well into March, which is rare. Also, many parts of Wisconsin and other states have received record breaking snow totals over the last two winters.
