Eastland Disaster

Learn more about the S.S. Eastland shipwreck and disaster in this video. On July 24th, 1915 the Eastland rolled over while tied to the dock on the Chicago River. Of the 2,572 people aboard, 845 people perished. It still remains the greatest loss of life on the Great Lakes in any one shipwreck.
