Wisconsin's Groundwater

An important meeting will be happening today at the state Capital in Wisconsin. Groundwater laws in the state are being challenged by businesses to access more of the state's water. The state's first law dealt primarily with the quality of the water, not usage amounts. Experts believe that up to 90% of the state's streams, lakes and rivers are in danger from high capacity wells, if new laws are not implemented.

The meeting will take place at room 417N of the State Capital at 9:30am.
